Larissa is an AHPRA registered Forensic Psychologist with over 8 years of experience working in the public sector. During this time, she has primarily worked in the Drug and Alcohol setting, focusing on aggressive or problematic behaviour, substance-related disorders, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, trauma (including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and relationship difficulties.
In addition she has several years of experience working with adolescents with psychosocial stressors, behaviour management issues, school-related issues like exam stress, anxiety disorders, deliberate self-harm and suicidal ideation.
Larissa takes a holistic approach in her treatment. Her treatment methodologies include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Schema therapy. A large part of Larissa’s current role includes fostering and maintaining a positive culture of care and respect for all clientele.
Her aim is to help clients feel at ease so that we can work together to achieve their goals. Evening and weekend appointments are available at the same counselling rate. Rebates available with a referral from a General Practitioner under the Mental Health Care Plan.
Consultations are $150 for 50 minutes, with Medicare rebates.
